Annoying Problem
ok so heres my problem......
every time i boot up my PC i cannot connect to the Internet,,, i get thefollowing network problem icon...
the only thing i can do to connect to the net is go to device manager and disable the networking controller then re-enable it. this fixes the problem instantly and i can go back to everyday tasks...
however i want this problem fixing properly once and for all.
i have noticed something strange which could be the problem......
as you can see when i boot up the PC i get the error icon (above) so i checked out the network settings and it seems that my network controller is identifying two LAN connections where in fact i have only one LAN connection in reality.
I presume that this must be a problem with the network controller driver / network controller / both.
I have the latest driver for my device and operating system, details below.
net controller: NVIDIA NFORCE 780I 3WAY SLI
os: Win 7 x64 bit
driver: 15.35_nforce_win7_64bit_international_whql (vers: 73.0.6.0)

Re: Annoying Problem
I don't recall if your motherboard has 2 RJ-45 ports on it or a single one. If it has 2 you might consider disabling the ethernet port you are not using in the bios and see if that make the netcall go away.

Re: Annoying Problem
I think I need more info mate. I'm missing something. Will you post:
OS and any service packs
motherboard and bios version
onboard nic and driver version
router brand and firmware version
modem brand
This has got to be a software misconfiguration/native error at some level but I need more information to narrow it down. Post the info and then see if you can catch me on xfire tomorrow.
