Arlen Specter (R), longest serving Senator from Pennsylvania, announces today he is leaving the Republican party to join the Democratic Party. Arlen Specter's voting record clearly shows he has been a Moderate Conservative and he has never promoted the Neo-Conservative agenda. Senator Specter will give the Democratic senate a leading majority which will give the Democrats a near filibuster-proof majority. Once Al Franken (D), Senator Elect from Minnesota currently being held up in many legal battles from his republican opponent Norm Coleman a.k.a LOOSER, is confirmed as the Senator from Minnesota the Democratic Party will have a complete filibuster-proof majority in the senate.
