Astro A40
Hello ladles and jelly spoons, just thot id ask if anyone here has the Astro gaming A40 headset, and what there like, as i ordered them a few days ago and was wondering if any1 here has them as iv herd they're really good.

I had a set for 2 weeks and the head piece to the left ear speaker broke. I was taking them off my head to put on the table and when they hit the table SNAP! The left ear speaker now dangles like man berries from the speaker wire. Same exact thing happened from a medusa piece of poo headset.

I've dropped them down a flight of stairs, pick them up and dusted them off and still intact and working great.
This is the set I currently have and they are true 5.1 surround sound:

This is the kit with all the bells and whistles:

Even if you have an optical digital connector on your PC, the headset comes with a TOS-link adapter and cable. Good stuff Tritton has.

hey mcphil, sorry to b an arse but they look almost exactly like Sharkoons or Turtle beach headsets, right down to the amp, the only diff i see is the headset setup.
I just hope that my a40's are a bit more rugged than when you had yours :s

YAYS, I got them......BOOS the mix amp isn't working properly....YAYS, there going to send me out another one....YAYS even with the slightly busted mixamp, I can still pinpoint an in game fart a mile off
