COD5 FPS optimizer's - Try these FEROL.
Kindly nicked from Zesty @ the www.82ndid.com.
A few console commands you can put in to boost those precious fps.
To open your console press the "~" key which is located just to the left of your "1" button and type the following in exactly as it appears. Also these are only commands for things you cannot toggle in your
graphics menu (make sure those are turned off as well for the best performance possible)
/r_zfeather 0
(This use to be "Soften Smoke Edges" back in CoD4, but for some reason in CoD5 it is on by default
and there is no option in the menu to turn it off. So that's the console command to disable it, it will
give a massive 10-20 fps boost especially for those of you with lower end video cards.)
/r_dlightlimit 0
(That turns off Dynamic lighting which will give you an extra 5-10frames/sec especially in firefights)
/r_dof_enable 0
(that turns off the stupid depth of field thing, anyone with low end computers should enter that command! It will give you a massive performance boost.)
/cg_brass 0
(that will turn off the bullet casings that fly out of the gun when you shoot, very little performance boost)
/cg_fov 80
(field of view i think)
Extra Tip - If those still don't lower your fps enough to make the game playable, turn down your resolution until it does.
---- DW's Note:
you may well be able to put these at the end of your shortcut now that the full game is out. the Shortcut for me at least did not work in the Beta.

you can add these to the shortcut of cod5, i have them running, however, th only thing you cant do is load our server straight from the shortcut as we did in COD4.
just add it like this in your shortcut properties
+cg_brass 0 +r_dlightlimit 0 +r_dof_enable 0 +r_zfeather 0 +cg_fov 80
