Custom night
Right I have a cunning plan, how about one night a week for a couple of hours we run custom maps on the main server? This way we can show all our reg's and random players alike what we have to offer on the custom server?!
Might be a good way of luring more peeps over to the AWE server for a few games once they've had a taste?

I thought you were just a cun....
How hard would this be? Is it a real pain in the bum to switch to AWE for a little bit?

Re: Custom night
I've got the feeling that if we're not proactive with the AWE server its just gonna sit there.
Banners on the main server are ok but TBH I doubt whether many folk will jot down the IP and pop over (some people are blind to the text I think), other than a couple of the regs. We have an opportunity to use the higher traffic of the main server to promote the other. I think its worth a try at least?

Re: Custom night
it would be as easy as to switch the profiles arround so that the AWE server runs the stock setup and the stock server runs the awe setup, could be switched round in a matter of minutes!! tthink tis worth a try, maybe after a week of advertising tho!

Re: Custom night
I agree with Ferol but i dont think it will work,Keep the main one as it is,and the people who want to play custom maps will find it,even when we were testing the maps we had people join.
A banner on the main server wont do to much as not many people read them anyway,we should make a big deal of it on the website as thats where we're gettin the serious and regular players.

Re: Custom night
So how about a banner or something to catch peoples eye, with a link to all the info about the AWE server on the site?
.... and the promise of free beer and hookers to really draw them in
