Oi Oi! Of course I bloody miss ya!
HELLO EVERYONE, LOUD MOUTH IS BACK! hehe
And how is everyone doing?
Was having a chat to a mate about the DC Weds night league matches madness that use to ensue and christ I miss those days! Looks like I need to get COD WOW on PC now to keep up?
Things my way are going splendidly, work wise I started a new job at local secondry school as Senior ICT Technician, the middle man between the Other Tech's and IT Manager and already have a strategy in place for me to move into the IT Manager role in 2 years, that's alright with me for when im 25!
Band wise things are moving along nicely, working hard and enjoying the fruits of our labour. So far this year we have played manyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy gigs big and small and even got out of the country and played in Oslo (In Norway, Herbs...) at the Inferno Festival, our first Euro show and first major festival. Happy days! We also have jsut confirmed a trip to Romania as well in August at another festival and in talks to get us on one in Germany at the end of November. Can't wait!
Also in the past week the band bought our first van. An LDV Pilot 1.9 Diesel, 6 seats, Full MOT, 9 Months Tax, 60'000 miles on the clock, we got it forrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr : £200.00!!!
The guy wanted shot of it and we picked it up without delay, and why is it such a bargain for us more then others? Our drummer is a mechanic for the bus company and works on LDV fans for a living to. Spare parts and cheap labour a plenty!
And as I know many are automobile freaks here is some progress of what we have done so far!
All is going well, gutted the back of it out. The floor/bulkhead was SOAKED in oil/grease. This was down to the fact that before it was used to ferry mechanics around the local area to jobs etc. Dirty bastards!
The only problem we found that we uncovered was a hole in the rear of the vans floor that needed to be welded, got that done for £20.00 last week and since then done 2 coats of Hammerite White to seal it all in. Also put in a new Radio that was from my old car and a couple of new speakers in the front.
Van: £190.00
Welding: £20.00
Paint: £15.00
Total cost: £225.00 so far.

Next on the list is to lay teh floor, install bulkhead and get the seats back in! I'll keep this up to date with progress reports!

Nice one m8, great runner there. I was gonna give you some rust advice there but you're sorted for life with an LDV mechanic around
Glad shizzle is going alright for you. I might bore some people with my recent Volvo purchase actually..

Will do!
Next week we hope to put in the floor and the bulkhead/separting wall in and put the rear seats back in and then kit out the seating area with 2 more speakers and carpet the floor and rear wall. Gotta travel in style eh?
Plus the girls complain when they get splinters. *Note: No complaint has ever been lodged, No girls have been in the van yet. We here, we're queer, get use to it. Isn't that what you always say Speedy?
A picture of the Guitarsit and his gear from thsi weekends last practice,

We try to practice twice a week for 4 hours at time but the drummer works nights every other week so we average about 6-8 practices a month, 24-32 hours of sweat!

The band is called Seregon : http://www.myspace.com/seregonuk
As for the outside paintwork, maybe a couple of vinyl decals here and there maybe?
Wonder if people will get these?
