Yes, it's even higher today. If you have Vista or Mac OS X Leopard, you can load an RSS on your desktop and watch it in "real-time". This is mad.

Just got a load of Euro´s out of a cash machine in Spain, bloody rate was 1.22 + a 2.5% commission!! What a bag of ARSE!

Yeah, international banks makes damn sure they make huge GP on foreign transactions because they know you don't have any contacts in the country and they have you by the balls. Best thing to do is whore yourself out to old men for an evening. That'll save you the surcharges.

The commision is one thing but the rate was only just under the going rate at the bank/post office anyway! It was 1.25 just before we left!

In the past the rate I´ve had just drawing money from a debit card has been pretty good.
