I can say it's down to the individual and how they drive, if they are idiots then they get what they deserve.

OI oi dw,

well done m8, but a word of wisdom from someone who has had a couple of tumbles from bikes over the years, take it easy for a few years, your biggest worry is the other nutters out there, cars and unlicenced drivers, also watch for the hidden diesel spillage 8| (which caught me out last time (only doing 80-90 att) caused a 100+ roll up the road in rush hour on a busy three lane carriageway) :'( :'(

Its good fun but hurts when you hit the tarmac

I hear the most important thing (and hardest?) is to not hold onto the bike when you take a "tumble."

it all depends if its a low sider, then you have to really think about letting go, but if its a high sider then you will not have the choice, gravity and momentum does it all for you.

Its a great way of getting round and there is a sense of freedom on a hot summers day, bending round the country lanes, and getting past a tricky situation gives you summat to talk about with other bikers, and it does beat a car for getting round (somethimes wish I still had mine,) its just that most of the time you have to have the proverbial eyes in the arse, to watch the car drivers texting and talking on the phone 8|

enjoy but ride safe

Actually Ferol, DSA states a minimum 6 hours CBT training. I did a whole day of it.

TBH, I was well sceptical before I did it as for its usefulness. Having now done it, I am glad they make you do it. Yes some of its basic stuff for people who have been driving, etc for a while. But forcing people to do slow manauvours, emergency stops, U-Turns and basic riding skills etc.

I personally got a lot out it, the instructor was good, took things easy and let us have fun within our own comfort zones, pointing out all the time things to be noted be careful of.

So Ive just come home after my first day on a CBF600, WOW so much fun !, so much to remember ! and im bloody knackered ! going to be rainy here tomorrow not looking forward to that!

They must have changed it again then cos I don't remember mine taking that long ::)

Do you have to do the new brake and swerve maneuver in the main test now?

lol @ Dad.

We do things different here. Probably cuase we have CORNERS ! he he.

@ Ferol, new test comes in March, got get it all done by then !

The guy who had his test today made a right cock-up, he actually managed to lose the examiner !, mind you serves the examiner right for following in a car.

Lol, it took me and the our instructor 3 hours to find him, after he stopped.

I hope my Test tommorrow goes better than that one did.
