oioi guys,

McPhil i think i fecked up a little last week a got a core I5 760 mobo and ram only to find out sandybridge is out this week how much better are the new chips? will i notice a difference? i got a hd 4850 x2 atm or a choice of a hd5870 off a m8.

What do you think m8

i have an i5 760. asus p7p55d-e lx
working fine
i meant to get crossfire mobo, but got wrong one :P

Sandy Bridge is just the newest micro-architecture Reaps. Nehalem are currently just as good. They are "claiming" that the overall frequency gained with the new architecture is 20% "in most cases" which the claims from the lab bench to the consumer is NEVER accurate.

Just get a descent Nehalem-1155 and call it a day for a couple of years.

saphire hd5870
coolermaster huge cpu cooler thing lol
2x wd 500g sata drives 1 failed last night :( rma today :( worked for 24hrs reported a write error and died never had a failure that early before:(
that ati card rocks though a lot better than my 4850x2

Hardware Canooks put out a bench review stating that 5770x2 and 5850x2 where the best bang for the buck about 6 months ago. With the 6870s out, that has dropped the cost of the 5870s and the 5970s because of the surplus in the market. If affordability, affords you, then go nuts I say. :woot:

im looking for another saphire 5870 for the right price, nice crossfire set up with two of these babys woot!
Bac company 2 in direct x 11 is the bollox fair play not tried vietnam yet but i have got it
