Postby [SCUM] DeathWish » 30 Jan 2009, 08:37

with only 2 minor's.

Examiner, said well done! good ride.

TBH, I thought Id fook it, as I crossed lanes over a pelican corssing.(No one on it).

So now for the Bike itself !,

What do you all reckon on a VFR 800 on an 03 plate 17k on the clock ? I have sort of downgraded my ideas a little due some advice from you lot and the instructors !

Well done mate!

A VFR would be a good bike, nice and comfy for touring but still with enough poke and decent enough handling.

I know someone who has one for sale if your interested I could find his number. He's a touring truck driver and never gets the time to ride it.

Bring on the summer and dry roads!

well done dw.....

one thing else on buying a bike, watch for the "nickerbillity" of it, some bike get nicked for what the are (racing, ducattis ect) its quite common in and around london for a group of blokes, to nick a high spec bike in a refridgerated waggon (muffles the sound of the alarm) regardless if your'e there or not (mob handed) . they also like the racers as it saves having to pay out on new fairing ect if they have pranged their own one, just nick someone elses which has the same colour.

on saying that what about the triumph 111 rocket 8| , it would certainly stand out if it was nicked (not too many of those around) or the aprillas look good.

check out http://www.doble.co.uk they are based in south london and the prices are a good indication of what is available and how much

Right...

VFR 800 vtec 03
Red
11k miles
2 owners
Datatool alarm
fsh
New tyres

Its in Basingstoke, dunno how far that is from you.

Hasn't been ridden in nearly 2 years and has been kept in a garage under cover.
Prob needs new battery and a full service & MOT.

He reckons £3000 serviced ready to go or negotiate the price to take in account battery and servicing. (Parkers price for bike of this age is between 2400 >>3600)

If your interested I have his number, he was on his way to portugal when I called him
