Looks like a mint game, i duno whether to get it though because the beta never downloaded the updates for me and you know theres guna be a patch the day after its release.

they downloaded fine when konami updated their servers,was really fun to play am deffo gettin it.

FAQ version info *INFO*

ver 1.03 : Just in time for the new, Headshots Only mode I have tested all
non-sniper weapons to give you the information you need! The weapons listed
as 69.2+ have a range greater than 69.2 and I have to spend some more time to
get an exact number for you guys.

HAWKEYE, QUARTERBACK, BLADES+, Training, and Snake's skills have
yet to be quantified.

Introduction *INTRO*

This FAQ was created in order to quantify the effects of active skills on the
battlefield. This FAQ can be quickly navigated using CTRL+F and typing in the
category you would like to view, for example *SYSTEM*. This FAQ is mean to
be as clinical as possible with no bias in the presentation of emperical data.
The data found in this FAQ should help you with your next Metal Gear Online
experience.




Skill system *SYSTEM*

Metal Gear Online incorporates a skill system that consists of four slots and
16 different skills. Some skills take more than one slot for a given level
while other skills may only take one slot regardless of the activated level.

Below is a list of all 16 skills along with the slot space requirements.

HANDGUN+ : 1 slot per level
SMG+ : 1 slot per level
ASSAULT RIFLE+ : 1 slot per level
SHOTGUN+ : 1 slot per level
SNIPER RIFLE+ : 1 slot per level
HAWKEYE : 1 slot regardless of level
SURVEYOR : 1 slot per level
QUARTERBACK : 1 slot regardless of level
TRICKSTER : 1 slot regardless of level
CQC+ : 1 slot per level
BLADES+ : 1 slot per level
RUNNER : 1 slot per level
MONOMANIA : 1 slot regardless of level
SIXTH SENSE : 1 slot regardless of level
NARC : 1 slot regardless of level
SCANNER : 1 slot regardless of level




Skill guide and instructions *GUIDE*

SURVEYOR :
When using auto aim be sure to aim when your character's body is facing towards
the intended target(s). If you attempt to aim before you complete turn then
you will have the camera snap back to the direction your character was last
facing then you will be turning at a reduce rate of speed. It is easier to turn
your character then engage auto aim lock on rather than turning slowly like a
turret.


TRICKSTER :
In almost all cases, setting a trap while crouching is the most efficient.


CQC+ :
There are two types of CQC techniques currently available. The first type
involve techniques that can be executed while equipping a one handed weapon.
The second type involves techniques that can be performed while holding a
two handed weapon that allows CQC techniques to be performed while equipped.
The weapons that allow CQC will have CQC marked on the active weapon icon.

CQC moves require various controller manipulations to execute. The following
is a list of all moves involved in CQC.

Lv 0 One handed CQC techniques :

Jab: Press the R1 button one time to throw a jab.

2 hit combo: Press the R1 button twice to throw a 2 hit combo using your fists.

3 hit combo: Press the R1 button three times to throw a 2 hit combo followed by
a low kick.

Kick: When the target is in a crouched or prone position you can kick them by
performing the 3 hit combo to hit them with a kick.

Ground Throw: Holding the left analog stick towards your target press R1 when
you get within CQC range to throw your enemy to the ground on their back.


Lv 0 Two handed CQC techniques :

Weapon strike: Press the R1 button once to deliver a melee strike with your
weapon.


Lv 1-2 One handed CQC techniques :
In addition to the previous moves the following moves are now available.

Standing rear naked choke: Press and hold R1 when you are within CQC range to
perform this move. For maximum efficiency do not move or let go of R1 at all
during this maneuver. While you are in the standing rear naked choke posture
you can move by pressing the left analog stick into the direction you want to
go.

Human shield: During a standing rear naked choke while having a pistol equipped
press and hold L1. You will stop choking your victim but can fire at
approaching enemies. Keep in mind that doing this will give your CQC victim
plenty of time to escape.

Forward sweep: During a standing rear naked choke press and hold the left
analog stick forward while momentarily releasing R1 and then immediately
pressing and holding R1 again to sweep your enemy and throw him forward onto
his face.

Side sweep: Same as forward sweep except you need to hold the left analog stick
towards the back of your character instead of forward. This technique will
throw your opponent down on his back to your side.

Crouched rear naked choke: While crouching press and hold R1 when you are
within CQC range to perform this technique. Most people use this when standing
is too high of a risk. You can transition into a crouched rear naked choke
while in a standing rear naked choke by simply pressing X once.

Rear naked choke on top of target: While having your opponent in a crouched
rear naked choke quickly press the left analog stick in any direction and
release R1 momentarily then press and hold it again immediately to transition
into this position. This choke gives you the lowest profile during a choke.
However due to the setup time your victim can escape if he is determined to do
so.


Lv 1-2 Two handed CQC techniques :
In addition to the previous moves the following moves are now available.

Armed takedown: While holding the left analog stick towards the opponent press
and hold R1 when you are within weapon striking range to perform this move.
You will strike your opponent with your weapon then perform a throw that will
land him on his back.


Lv 3 One handed CQC techniques :
In addition to the previous techniques one new move is available.

Disarm : While in the standing position approach your target and when you are
within striking range press and hold R1 to begin the animation sequence of the
rear naked choke. However, as soon as the animation begins release R1 and
quickly tap R1 twice to disarm your opponent and begin the standing rear naked
choke.


Lv 3 Two handed CQC techniques :
In addition to the previous techniques two new moves available.

Armed takedown w/disarm : Perform the armed take down as usual but right after
you initiate this technique press tap on R1 several times and you will disarm
your opponent then immediately throw them down on the ground on their back.

Disarm: Hold the left analog stick towards your opponent then press and hold
R1 to initiate what looks like the armed take down, however immediately after
the initial strike let go of the left analog stick and press R1 several times
to disarm your opponent then push him back. There aren't many good reasons to
do this but this move is nonetheless available.


BLADES+ :
When engaged in a knife fight you can swing the knife for a 5 hit combo.
However only 4 hits are required to kill an opponent with full health. If you
want to play as a knife fighter you can greatly increase your odds by not
using the 5th strike in a combo. The reasons for not using the 5th strike is
because it will leave your character immobile and open to any number of
attacks, and it is also not necessary unless you have to use it to kill the
one opponent you are fighting. The most efficient use of the knife comes by
learning how to use the 4 slash combo. This combo is the bare minimum to kill
an opponent and also allows you to freely do anything, from rolling away or
equipping a box. You are completely free to disengage immediately as long as
you are within the first four strikes of the combo.
