We did it. We got Obama in. I have so much hope. He said he was going to go through the Bush folleys and undo all the big corporate tax breaks and start helping the middle class, the backbone of the USA. He said he's going to get the US out of Iraq in 16 months after he takes office on January 20th, 2009. He said he's putting a large offensive force in the mts of Afghanistan. He said he's going to make prescription medication finally affordable in the US just like it is in Canada so our nations elderly no more have to break pills in half or skip a treatment because their social security checks are late. If you make over $250,000USD per year - your taxes are going up. If you make between 125,000 to 250,000USD per year - your taxes are staying the same. If you make under 125,000 per year - your taxes are dropping significantly. If this country has been good enough to you that you can make $250,000USD per year or more, you have a responsibility to your country to say thank you. Pay your taxes and help your fellow man. The USA used to be the most respected country in the world. In a short 8 years, one extremely stupid man turn us into the most hated, most disrespected country in the world just to fill the pockets of his buddies, he's father's buddies and he's vice-president's buddies. Just wanted to add - there are a total of 5 Supreme Court Justices that are going to retire in the next few years, 3 conservative and 2 liberal. The president appoints supreme court justices. Now, with Obama in office, woman are guaranteed the right to choose, segregation will continue to be ban, and prisoners of war will be given a day in court instead of being held in prison indefinitely without the right to attorney counsel or the fear of being tortured as supported by the state.
