W@W: PB Issues
So, i keep getting kicked from COD:WAW!
it says kicked by PB for 0minutes (please go to www.evenbalance.com to manually update!)
i have tried updating using the PBSetup application, the update goes through ok and says UPDATE COMPLETE, but when i try to go into the game i get kicked after about 5 seconds.
i have tried updating by downloading the pbsec.htm - no avail. and i have tried downloading the update in the The files available for download from this page are only for manually updating existing installations.
NOTICE: PunkBuster is designed to auto-update itself during gameplay. PBSetup is the easiest method of manually updating PunkBuster for most users (players and admins).
PunkBuster (WAW) Security Files
The following files are only needed if your PunkBuster doesn't update by itself. Right click the appropriate link below and choose "save as" to your "pb" folder - make sure the file you save is saved with the filename shown below.
* For Players Filename: pbsec.htm
* PB Server v1.680 for Win32 Filename: pbsvnew.dll format too.
I have tried every way to update but i still get kicked..
the game worked all day yesterday but now i cant play at all - I did a fresh install because the map would take like 5 minutes to load for me, almost everytime. i still got kicked via PB a few times but this is EVERY 5 SECONDS now. after i did the fresh install, the game works fine i just cant play ! lol

Call of Duty 4 - PunkBuster issue
Oct 29 2008 22:47:39 by Killing
Earlier today we had reports of players getting kicked from servers by PunkBuster, after some investigation the issue was tracked down to a problem with the latest PB version for CoD 4. We've spoken to EvenBalance who quickly released an update to fix the issue.
This update is now installed, to pick it up simply restart your server in ClanForge.
Done.
