What graphics card do you have?

I just wanted to know what graphics cards you guys are running?

The reason i ask is to find out if any of you that play COD4 use a ATi HD3870.

There is a guy in the banned area saying he uses one and hes getting black screen shots too.

The drivers are up to date. Would it be worth asking on any other sites to see if anyone has the same problem.

Goldfox has an HD3870 and no issues... weight it as you might.

my back up computer has an ATI Radeon X850 XT PE 256MB PCI-Express and COD4 has all settings on medium with 2x AA and no textures. Runs just fine.

7900gs, yep laptop gamer here no issues. Had a similar problem with another game doing that whenever grenades would explode or I would turn in a certain direction. The fix was turning off one effect at a time in the game settings until I found the culpurt.

8800GT. I bought it as soon as the refresh came out, alongside my new rig. Was running an X1950Pro before that, which was good but overheated a lot. This card is the 'Steady Eddie' of this gen, for my money.

I always look to get mid-range cards, as soon as they are released. This way I get a year's good-high performance for about £150, which for me is plenty. Now that I'm no longer a student though, I'll probably splash out on a high-end card when the next significant gaming engine rolls out (probably ID tech 5?).

The 8800GT will play at my native res (1600x1200 for now) with all the bells and whistles in single player (I never play online with Soften Smoke/AA/DoF/Shadows, though) at a steady framerate. I also tend to hold my FPS around 90 on multiplayer, and it rarely dips. If anyone is looking to upgrade on the cheap - get this card! It's only about £80+VAT now.

did have a 8800gtx i think,but its melted and am waiting for a rma,at the moment am using a gf 9500 1 gig,got it for the bargain price of £18.10 !

runs cod ok if i turn a few of the shiny things of but mercenaries runs a little shitter ,hope i get a replacement before Crysis warhead comes out or they'll be no shiny pics for anyone.

Haha! It actually runs though? Used a 8400 in a ultra-slim lappy once, utter garbage. Couldn't even run UnrealEd 3 properly. 'Spose for 18 quid it'll do for the short-term, though.

I check through BSS quiteoften, and i must say that i get alot of black ones comeback, as well as a few other scummies, so the BSS aint something to base your worries on m8, it depends on why there black lol. you see im no cheat but i dont know what causes Black SS .
