This is all very good but you all have different opinions on the subject which is great, but if your only going to buy one which one will last the distance, and to be honest having stuck with the xbox al these years i don't think it really matters.  Both will have good games and extras to go with it.

I reckon its all a personal choice, i know that previosuly the ps2 was better and lived longer than the the xbox, but im not so sure this time around.

anyway when it comes to old school Atari all the way :)

i believe both will go the distance just that xbox has progressed further, quicker as far as online and gaming goes imo.

I see that the discussion has slightly moved from Halo 3 to 360 vs PS3. Let me try and get it back on course

Halo 3 like Tanx says in the review the Campaign is incredibly easy even on Heroic, but then again Has anyone really struggled with the campaign on Normal Setting on any of the Halo games? i havent but then again the campaign is only one part of the game, there's the achievement which take the game play to the next level, there's the fun of trying to complete it on Ledgendary which does take incredible patience but for each level you complete at the setting the more motivation you get for getting further and it really does take the enoyment you get from playing it to incredible heights, it's one of the only games that i will spend an entire day on the same level. Unlike Tanx i attempted Ledgendary on my own i managed the first three levels with a challenge but none the less i was able to keep goin where some times i was pinned with no weapons, one frag grenade and just managed to complete the 3rd level, the 4th one however, well i have hit a brick wall but i did attempt it for best part of 3-4 days and have spent a few hours now and again over the past few months trying to complete it to no such luck but i shall prevail one day.

As for Multiplayer, well i absolutely love it, there's soo many different options to go for that its a different game each time you go online.
The DoubleExperience weekends vary from Infestion game types, Team Melee, Team Snipers and many more that change with each weekend, then there's the Downloadable Maps which add to the many already available diverse maps available. Some of my favourite do come from the Heroic and Ledgendary Map Packs i do have to say.

The Experience system just improves your motivaiton for playing online the higher up the ranks you reach. Not only can you reach higher rankings by the experience points you get from un-ranked and ranked games but you can skip entire ranking levels (etc Major level 2,3 - Gunnery Sergeant Level 2,3 by improving your Skill by winning ranked games on your own with only around 8 other players wich really gets your blood pumping, adreneline running and competiveness at an all time High!

For me the stroyline was lacking but the Multiplayer aspect has by far made up for it and increased my love for the Game.

Would love to hear everyone else's opinion, dnt be shy now :P

I've never liked halo really. The controls feel unnatural and I end up either dead or crashing some vehicle. And I love FPS games!

I thought it was shite.

It felt like a step back to me,only because i am used to PC shooters,if i'd never ever played an FPS before i could see the attraction, but i had and never thought about it again !
